A day here
The first latte. Commuters grab it from the takeaway window and go.
Someone opens a laptop, orders a salt-grilled chicken and kombu onigiri, and says it’s just for a bit.
Still here. The next table is working remotely too.
Last orders. We close at 17:00.
What we serve
Open sandwiches, bagels, onigiri and cold soba; house pudding, Basque cheesecake and canelé. Coffee, tea and sparkling drinks.

The room
at cafe sits in a 1969 house by Taipei Main Station. By day it is a bright room for Japanese set meals and coffee, with a takeaway window: about 25 ping, 32 seats and a long counter.
There is a wall of vinyl, and an elephant named moji hiding on another. A great many people pass Taipei Main Station every day; our goal is small: get one of them to sit down and finish the cup.
